Confirmed cases of climbed by 16, or less than 1%, in Riverside County to a total of 4,180 on Sunday, May 3. The number of novel coronavirus deaths remained the same as Saturday, 161, according to county health department data.
The number of residents tested also rose, moving up 1% to 53,333. Of those tested, 7.8% of those residents are confirmed positive.
Of those positive patients 211 are hospitalized, up by one from Saturday, and of those, 78 are in intensive care, which went down by five.
The number of recovered patients also ticked up, rising by 26 to 1,971.
Riverside has the most confirmed cases of any city in the county with 734. Other locations with more than 100 cases include Moreno Valley with 460, Corona with 204, Hemet with 185, Perris with 179, Jurupa Valley with 148, Beaumont with 143, Indio with 138, Coachella with 131, Menifee with 110, Lake Elsinore with 106, and Cathedral City with 101. County jails reported 149 cases.
