Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., on Sunday chastised House Democrats for prioritizing oversight of President Donald Trump's handling of the coronavirus outbreak, but overlooking China's duplicity during the outbreak.
In an interview on Fox News’ Graham said Democrats need to “step up.”
“The Democrats have a group to look at Trump, not China,” he said. “President Trump made very good decisions, very hard calls… Not one Democrat has come forward with any idea to hold accountable China for killing over 60,000 Americans by withholding information about the virus and putting 30 million Americans out of work because that's what we had to do to save probably 1 million lives.
“Not one Democrat has come forward with an idea to hold China accountable. China is the problem, not Trump. Democratic parties step up, don't give China a pass.”
Graham also said he’s not going to interfere in the case of former national security adviser Michael Flynn, who pleased guilty to making false statements to the FBI.
"I'm not going to interfere in ongoing criminal matter,” he said. “This is a rule of law nation. I'm a politician. My goal is to write a report how [the FBI] got off the rails but I can promise you we're going to do it right. I'm not jumping in the middle of this case but when it's over we're going to find out why the Mueller investigation lasted two years. We're going to find out what kind of FBI shop was run out of the seventh floor and find out how you could issue warrants against Carter Page when the Russian subsource told the FBI in January of 2017 it's all a bunch of garbage. I'm an oversight guy, but I'm not going to interfere in a ongoing criminal matter, period.”
